LO3 KTA 11: Steel City Fest presentation feedback.

All my feedback was positive and no advice has been given to help me improve.

I am fully aware that i cannot use the pacman in my products as it is copyright, and i will change that in my official designs.

I was given all positive feedback, they didn't mention any adjustments i can make.

I will take on board maybe using a different font.

I think overall my feedback was positive, i can always use the advice given for my finished products.

Q1: All people who answered my questionnaire think it is obvious my festival is 80's themed.

Q2: All people agree my ideal customer suits my genre.

Q3: All people agree with my choice of location and understand why i chose it.

Q4: All people think my drafts work well with the theme of my event.

Q5: Everyone liked my logo, but 1 person didn't agree with my font, i was also told i cannot use the pacman in my logo

LO2 Task 2: KTA 9: Analysis of Successful Related Brands- Design Inspiration

Primary research.

Primary research is when information is gathered by yourself such as a questionnaire.

Secondary research.

Secondary research is when you use information yo have researched from the internet which some one else has made.

Successful logos and brands
McDonald's is a worldwide famous fast food chain, the logo is very popular and well known everywhere. The colours are very bold which makes it stand out. The sans serif font keeps the logo looking clean. The 'M' which is the main feature of the logo stand for the capital letter of McDonald's, it also looks like one of the chips that they sell.
Cadbury's is the most famous brand for chocolate in the whole world, it is noticed for it's swirly purple background and it's curly serif font. The purple colour of the background is very dark, this makes the white seem more bold.
Disney is one of the most popular film makers in the world. People notice the logo for it's unique serif font. The logo is simple but effective and yet very famous.

Theory.
John Hartley (1987) suggested that media producers create 'invisible fictions' of their target audience.

Ien Ang (1991) similarly argued that all media producers create 'imaginary entities' of their target audience before creating a media product.

Ideal customer.
Kate is 39 years old and grew up in Surrey but has recently moved over to Sheffield. Kate has owned 2 vintage music shops one in London and one in Sheffield, she loves her job because she gets to listen to all different generations of music all day. Kate's favourite music era is the 80's she loves Duran Duran and ABC. In her younger years she starred in her own 80's tribute band called The Durans but broke up when she opened her music shop in London. Kate's look is inspired by her two favourite female artists Cyndi Lauper and Toyah Wilcox. Kate's income from her job goes towards her seeing retro bands on a weekend and going to 80's festivals.
